About Grand China

Serving Buckhead since 1978!

Located at 2905 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305, Grand China operates as a chinese restaurant serving Atlanta in Georgia. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11:30 am–10:45 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (404) 231-8690. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, grandchinaatl.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 1,950 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese restaurant in Atlanta and suggests consistent service.

Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Atlanta is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Really great food. We had mussels and Twice Cooked Pork. Owner of the place is a treat!! We loved it. Good Chinese food is getting to be hard to find, so this was a pleaser many surprise.

It was decentβ€” had the teriyaki chicken / with fried rice lunch special including two wings which were good. I didn’t care for the sliced chicken. I’ll give this place another try but with a different entree. My waitress was kind so it all worked itself out.

I have been eyeing this place for a while. When shopping in the plaza across, there’s always good food smell coming from the chimney. This evening my boyfriend and I went to try, and were blown away! Ms. Chang/Ms.Cheng (I’m not sure) made the best Mai Tai. It was very balanced, and you can smell the aroma of the orange (it was very juicy and fresh too). For appetizers, we ordered the fried vegetables dumplings, yummy! For entrees, my boyfriend had orange chicken and rice, and I had sushi with the chicken satay. I figured the sushi was going to have little protein. But you can SEE that they are not stingy with their meats! My sushi was filling that I couldn’t eat the rest of my chicken satay. The restaurant staff were very nice, friendly, and present. We will be back again to try the rest of the menu! Thank you all so much!

My eldest son took me here for Mother's Day. Parking is in the back. The hostess was the owner and she was a joy to engaged. The food was absolutely amazing. I had General Tso Chicken and my son had Orange Chicken. This is not your ordinary take out Chinese food. They also serve Thai and Japanese. Only thing, the chairs could use new cushions.

FINALLY real Chinese food!! I’ve been searching for quality in Atlanta since I moved here from Chicago. Seems like all the other places are Thai restaurants that also make Chinese food as an after thought. Everything I had was delicious: sweet and sour chicken, actual egg rolls not just spring rolls, house fried rice, house lo me in. The cocktails were also on point!
